Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?
So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....
Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Philippines is a long drive from Bedford, UK
Scientists now have decisive molecular evidence that humans and chimpanzees once had a common momma and that this lineage had previously split from monkeys.

Blast from the past. . .
The Dobbertin Surface Orbiter is a hand built amphibious vehicle, constructed from a 1959 Heil milk tanker over a period of four and a half years (14,000 man-hours) by Rick Dobbertin of Syracuse, NY. The vehicle was designed to circumnavigate the Earth, over land and sea, without any type of support vessel and was well on its way when the lack of funding cut the adventure short. Even so, the Orbiter has logged in over 33,000 miles on land and over 3,000 miles in the open ocean, with seas up to eighteen feet high.
The Orbiter has been the focus of attention of educators in many countries. It sparks interest in science, math, technology and geography for students of all ages.
The Orbiter was the first amphibious transit of the Panama Canal (February 21-23 1995)I've spent most of my life skiing and fly fishing. The rest I have just wasted.

If I remember correctly, they forgot to install air conditioning. With water tight windows, they roasted the fuck out of themselves trying to cross Iowa…

That’s it...it’s time to play G.O.T.O.S.
If I win the mega million thing I want the surface orbiter, a delorean and the sculptured house in Genesee that was in Woody Allen’s ‘Sleeper.’ Maybe add in one of those citroens with the low rear wheel skirts. That’s livin. Though, I’d add ac to the orbiter. People will think I’m from the future.
ETA: it’s the CX Citroen.

A serious lack of toppings on the Weinermobile. You'd think that if any vehicle had ketchup, mustard, relish, or something, it'd be this one.
Incidentally, if you're ever near Dearborn, Michigan, the Henry Ford museum of American innovation is well worth a visit. Not just cars, by a long way, those that's where I took this pic.

that thing is actually really nicely appointed and laid out. Except for the cab... guess the budget ran out.
