No kidding. And imagine throwing all of the gorp in the closet instead of all over the outside? Of course this rig is really only suited for someone who wants to haul [small] toys. I'd rather have the living space. Although, with a custom made tent and support legs and you could have a nice screen room back there. Camper with a porch. But not for their asking price.

Speaking of Earthroamer, why not just get one of those? Have we reached Peak Overland when someone thinks he can sell his Dodge truck with a DIY camper shell for that much?
A new Earthroamer is $600-700k. That's probably why someone doesn't just get one of those.

    ^^^Priceless

    Another sighting on the Metolius...
Question for the judges - are points awarded for externally mounted firewood?

The aggressive steel bumper is a little much, but otherwise, I think that is a Wrangler build done right.

Fly rod holder. Suction or magnet. Not permanent. Not really GOTOS. Pretty handy for bouncing hole to hole throughout the day.

Except there's a lot of volcanic rock roads around here and the silica dust eats the crap out of reels/lines. And there are nice trails on each side of the river - no need to drive much between holes here.
But then again, a Rubicon isn't long enough to fit a 9' rod inside, like a lezburu.

That said, I wouldn't count the rod holders either

You can't get the lezbaru to take any rods at all.

I think that only applies to OEM rods, aftermarket ones might be acceptable.

It’s a Rubicon, it was done right from the factory. Basically zero people need more “capability” than a stock Wrangler Rubicon

He's burning roughly twice as much fuel as a Sprinter, too.
