Nothing screams dress shoe like “non-marking outsole”.

These are top quality, good looking and will last you a lifetime. I have them in black and brown, they are at least 10 years old, and they are my only dress shoes other than a pair of boots. Best part is whenever the soles wear out, you just send them back to Mephisto for re-soling.

sliding around in the OR you need something that will have good traction in all the blood n gore and not stain like a suede hush puppy

edit : the velcro was a coffee spitter, fortunatley the cup was empty

Dressports come in much dressier versions than the one rootskier decided to show. I had one pair that was black wing tips (they were sold out of plain toe)--the only thing non-dressy about them was the thin rubber sole--and definitely not non-marking. And BTW--since we wear paper shoe covers in the OR a non skid sole does no good. (Plastic knee high shoe covers if a lot of blood is expected.)

I'm not going to any function that requires anything dressier than that.

Lol. The red socks are optional.

But seriously. An extremely comfortable, well-made, long lasting shoe.

Ruined my back working in the city and wearing leather soles all the time.
Had all sorts of fancy brand names. Hell I think one was Bruno magli. But I didn’t kill anyone. Just myself.
I do miss the shoe shine stand. Almost as relaxing as a barber shave.

Fuck it. Get a disposable pair of rubber soled black shoes with lots of cushion.
Fuck the brand. If it fits. And it feels like walking on a cloud. Buy it.

You can fool people with a cheap but well fitting suit, but by god don't skimp on the shoes and belt.

Plus they are fucking hideous and still almost $200? Just no. The Rev needs a NICE shoe, because the stormtrooper dick jokes hit way harder coming from a well-dressed man.

    Just fucking get these:

I generally rocked the helsinki's at my desk job (tech, so fashion doesn't matter much). They have been the most durable and comfortable of dress shoes I've had, completely smoking Cole Haan, Johnston & Murphy, Bass, Bostonian and a few other brands.

As I was laughing at this thread, that's what I was thinking.

When did you become so choosy?
