Jealous! Are you on Kalamalka hefe? I've almost always had a boat but sold my G23 in 2016. That was a mistake. Have been wanting to pick up a 23LSV or maybe a SAN 230 if I can find one for under $60k, but the market is wild.

Hey nothing wrong with that. We had a sunsetter lxi on a diamond hull that was just bliss on 730am glass. I would love to get back into it if I could guarantee my knees would be okay for the real ski season...........

While I don't chase after bouys, not much can top an early morning run on glass. I'm looking at going in on an old Nautique or Prostar with a buddy since our family boats just don't cut it.
Back to surfing, my 12yo has been nervous to try surfing but we got her out for her first real run this weekend (don't ask about the goggles ).

Soooooo I went and rode behind a real wakesurf boat this past weekend and now that I have a taste at just how much better the wave is I'm tempted to upgrade my ride.
Looking for the best wave possible in the 60-80k range. More than likely used but I'd like to get 10 years / 1000 hours out of it. I'd retire my Sunsetter to waterski and night cruise duty. What would you guys get at that price point for a wakesurf exclusive boat?Live Free or Die

Boats sure do make resort skiing and MTB seem cheap....

Yeah, notably on wake boats where the price of entry can climb into the 2-300k range. Or even higher for the tech bro special Pavatis.

How'd the build quality on the Axis. I always hear they are made on the same line as the Malibu's but there's got to be more to it than a name and a touchscreen baked into the price difference between the two right?

If you can fit it in your price point get a wake gate.
So much better than just a ballasted turd.
All Boats went nutty in Covid. Getting a little better now but still high.
I expect a lot of boats and rv to get sold in the next few years as people get tired of what they thought was their new passion.

I use a wake shaper on my older boat, which does a great job, but it's night and day difference when I get on my buddies who have surf gates. If it wasn't $5k to add after market ones, I would think about it. I might as well get a VTX if I'm going to do that.

My 09 23 lsv is just as good as a new 250k wake once you have the ballast dialed and a wake gate of some sort. Mine is prob worth about $65k cdn.

Funny after I posted that above, I went out on my boat tonight with my sons and their friends. 8 kids in my 21ft Sunsetter VLX. My wave was crushing and one of my best ever. We didn't even get the wedge down. One of the kids has a 23ft Malibu and one has a 25ft Axis. While they were probably just being nice, they all said my wave was just as fun. I'm OK with their pity compliments

how would a 2008 TIGE BOATS 22VE work as surf and ski boat? I know surfing and skiing are at odds with each other but finding a boat that could do both decently would be nice. look to swap out our 93 malibu echelon.
