ISO: Binding hole plugs?

Anyone have a bunch floating around their workbench? I need 20 to fill some guardian holes.
I know they are easy to get online but I don’t need 100/500/1000 ,nor am I interested in paying 20$ to ship from ebay, Amazon etc.
Nearest ski shop js 1.5hr drive so that’s not super convenient.
Anyone?

Or, get yerself a small oak dowel, Load it into a power drill. Use a piece of sandpaper as you spin it with the drill to taper the end. Cut it off at about 3/8". Repeat 16X. Cheap and easy. If the dowel is slightly larger than your screw holes, that's a good thing. Put some JB Weld in the hole and drive your homemade plugs in with a hammer. A little JB Weld over the top to seal 'em.

^^^or wood glue or epoxy? Anything that is waterproof I guess . ( I am in Canada, so Tognar wanted 18 usd to ship 6$ worth of plugs, so that doesn’t take sense.

I use a waterproof epoxy.

Using a solid wood plug, in theory, should also allow you to mount closer to the existing holes from your previous mount.

Don't use wood glue. Not waterproof.

I've absolutely overlapped mounts on oak plugs that I epoxied in. Never had an issue but I don't send it.

Not all wood glues are created equal, I've been using titebond 3 for alpine mounts with no issues. I do use waterproof epoxy for tech bindings though... Why? Cause Lou Dawson told me so I guess.

Sometimes I fill the hole with a hot glue gun with a spear of epoxy over it. Cheap and easy. Maybe they will rot out eventually, but not before they've lived their natural life as skis in Vermont.

I use bamboo skewers ($4.00 at Fred Meyer = lifetime supply of plugs) and roo glue. Cut off 3/8" pieces as necessary, apply glue, tap in with my wife's tiny kitchen hammer, let cure for 24 hours, flatten with surf form, apply polyurethane for seal against moisture. It's not rocket surgery.
