PSA: Deals on Marker Duke PT 12 & 16

These Duke PT deals popped up a few days ago, but went back to full price the next day. Now the deals are back. I didn't pull the trigger on a pair then, but just did now since they might revert to full price again tomorrow.

    $379: Marker Duke PT-12 100 / 125 Ski Binding Adults

    $419: Marker Duke PT-16 100 / 125 Ski Binding Adults

Back up to full price, for now. Save 'em to your list if interested I guess, and wait for the prices to cycle again.

    Edit: PT12's delivered today, nice.

    thanks!
Do you know if the hole pattern is the same as the previous Frame binding Duke/Baron/Tour.
I have to think no way, but thought i'd ask.

Heel pattern is same as Jester / Griffon / Squire (but with a lot more adjustment range), but toe pattern is different. It's a bit wider and holes are further forward.

Yeah these are a gamble, but have buddies who tried Shift and sold them. The lower stack height of the PT is appealing, and they appear to be substantially more stout than Shift, especially the Jester/Squire heels (which have been in use for many years). The PT toe is the big unknown.

Would have gone CAST but wanted AT boot compatibility, so Shift and PT are the only options for a 80/20 binding. Certainly not thrilled with either, but it is what it is.

I like mine. I have had good luck with downhill. Feels just like a jester. I haven’t had any problems with uphill. I have been making sure to take off my toes and put them in a skin bag on my way up. Make sure the tech toes are clean before snapping the alpine toe back on. I like the way they ski a lot. But I’m with 1000. Not stoked by any of them. They are ok. I think the pt is better then the shift. At least there are no release issues.

The heel pattern is the same as 1000 oaks said as the jester. The toe is the same as the king pin/alpinist.

I drilled my heel with my royal jig for 313 and then set my kingpin jig for 313 and set it on the line and then moved the toe 50mm forward.

These numbers were found in another thread about the duke pt from last year. Spyderjon did all the measurements and a couple other guys. The heel track on the pt has a lot of adjustment.

I wanted to try these, but was hesitant and trying to gather more info. I saw them last night @ $380 and told myself I’d wait for them to drop under $350. Missed em’..

This is a few months old now, but do you still have these to get rid of?

Why would anyone pay $300 (sale!) for these heavy bindings these days? Inquiring minds want to know.

If they work as advertised (so far, not) they will be the perfect binding for the skier that is "thinking of touring" but skis at the hill 90% of the time
