Yes they are...to a point.
We've had some noteworthy days snowboarding, backpacking and camping together. We've also had some days where we pulled the plug in <60 minutes. Shit happens. You've got to know when to hold 'em, and fold 'em!
Those hard days are quickly forgotten; the best ones are unforgettable.

We're all excited for winter. The two year old insisted on taking her gloves off so she could play with pieces of ice. Granted, she doesn't really have any ability to grab stuff with them on, but her willingness to be cold so she can do what she wants is impressive. We did convince her to go outside and warm up her fingers afterwards.
The one year old seemed to enjoy checking things out from the backpack, until he fell asleep and then managed to stay that way all the way home.

We still force our teenagers to go hiking with us. Crazy how much they bitch and moan ahead of time when they always end up having a good time. It's true we've probably over-hiked them since they were little so they are naturally resistant. Oh well, they'll appreciate it some day...heh heh.

What an amazing day on the hill with the little!
First real day on skis with her at 21 months — don’t count the few days in the backyard!
She loved sliding around
After an hour or so she wanted into her regular boots so dad took her down the bunny hill! She giggled the whole way!
She was jumping up and down the whole magic carpet ride!
Ended it with cocoa and snuggles with mom!
PB&J pancakes on the tailgate with dad

Nice work Lyft.
Hot breakfast and cocoa are critical, as are pocket Kisses for on slope rewards!

Toddlers on skis always make me smile. Friend is bringing his out this season and I am already excited to "have" to go to the beginner hill for the day.

Being a dad is pretty dang amazing!
The new Ski Journal showed up and she kept saying “ski” and “pow” while flipping through!
Took her out this morning to ski the front yard, she’s already keeping them straight and sliding unsupported!

Baby Owen showed up about three weeks ago, he's sometimes happy and very healthy, and has been sleeping well at night. So far, much easier than baby H, who resisted sleep at all costs. She's taking it all in stride, but she's getting lots of time with me right now--hopefully she does ok when I return to work.
It's been busy round here, but we're making it and having a little fun too. 7 weeks off of work sure helps! Being a parent x2 is no joke--how do people with twins do it? It still feels weird when I reference "the children"--Oh wow, we have kid(s) now.

My little one got picked to be in mutton bustin at the stock show.
How do I obtain a training "mutton" thing? Google failed me.
I real ewe was found for $75 but the idea was rejected.

Mrs SnapT has been having contractions for the last 24 hours. Went in tonight, 4-5 mins apart and getting painful. Not super dilated, hit 39 weeks at midnight. We’re back home and she’s toughing it out. Likely head back in tomorrow at some point when something changes. Pretty stoked. Little dude was accelerating with each contraction. Shit’s feeling real!

Her water will probably break tonight. That's when shit gets really real. Good luck man!
