    Pugski snark, medium rare

I like it when nice guys change their DEFCON status. Yoinked from their facebooks:

    ——

How many group members does it take to adjust a binding?

1 to adjust a binding and to post that the binding has been adjusted.
14 to share similar experiences of adjust a bindings and how the binding adjustment could have been changed differently.
7 to caution about the dangers of adjust a binding.
17 purists who use tech bindings and are offended by alpine binding discussions.
6 to argue over whether it's 'DIN Setting' or ‘Binding Release Value'.
Another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid.
22 to tell THOSE 6 to stop being jerks.
2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is ‘Release Value'.
15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that 'DIN' is perfectly acceptable.
49 to post memes and gifs (several are of Michael Jackson eating popcorn with the words added, “I’m just here for the comments.”)
19 to post that this page is not about adjust a binding and to please take this discussion to a hardgoods page.
11 to defend the posting to this page saying that we all use DIN and therefore the posts are relevant here.
24 to discuss the merits of all metal housings
44 to claim skiing a non indemnified binding will kill you.
12 to post “Goes to 11”.
8 to ask what “Goes to 11” means.
7 to post 'Following' but there's 3 dots at the top right that means you don't have to.
    3 to say "can't share"
2 to reply "can't share from a closed group"
36 People to post pics of their own bindings.
15 People to post "I have never pre released!" and mount their own bindings.
6 to report the post or PM an admin because someone said "KneeBinding"
4 to say "Didn't we go through this already a short time ago?".
13 to say "Do a search on “DIN Settings” before posting questions about binding settings".
1 to bring politics into the discussion by adding that (insert politician of choice) never “returns to center”. This usually takes place within the first three comments.
50 more to get into personal attacks over their political views.
5 admins to ban the binding posters who took it all too seriously.
1 late arrival to comment on the original post 6 months later and start it all over again.

Phil should of done that for the recent “carving” threads....or the classic ongoing skinny ski/wide ski debate.....

    Those are pure entertainment.....

If we are all dentists over here, does that make all of them veterinarians?

    Pugski snark, medium rare

I’m also always interested to hear from preachy left fielder.

Weeeellll, most of this advice applies IF you don’t ski straight 220s on pivot race bindings. However.... [three paragraphs later] since you’re not really a skier because you’re not over here in left field, this “generic” advice “should” work but I wouldn’t know because I always go .5 up because of the additional leverage of the 220s, which you should, but wouldn’t understand because you are a fail boat.

Also you will die if you adjust them yourself. DO YOU EVEN KNOW?!? DO YOU EVEN KNOW?!?!?

I’ll bet Phil has figurd out a way to delete accidental double posts tho.

Btw where’s Phil been anyway? Hope him and Trish are good. Also, yes, I’m guessing that “pivot race bindings” is not exactly a real thing.

I miss HIGHWAYSTAR chiming in about "race stock bindings" and how if you dont have "RACE STOCK BINDINGS" you will slide for life on the advanced terrain of Killington.

So in sum, RACE STOCK BINDERS

Phil's been having a medical moment - seems to be resolving, but certainly mortality awareness inducing. Yes, I attend - it's where all the soft-core free heelers hang out.

Atrial flutter. He had a little operation and headed right back to the slopes. I skied with Phil and Trish early this week. Can't keep a good man down.
