Bariloche this summer
or in general... Are they going to have a season? Interesting terrain? Touring options? Things not to miss? Time to visit? Times to avoid?
Been to Las Lenas once, considering joining friends for Bariloche trip this summer.
Cheers!

I would definitely consider waiting. The State Dept. has a "Do Not Travel" advisory for Argentina right now. I sort of suspect it's a shitshow down there. As someone with close-up experience with the health care system in Bariloche, I would not want to be there during a pandemic.

That makes sense. Trying to be somewhat optimistic about vaccines and August timeline but definitely need to keep any eye on how things progress.
Any feedback on the terrain, hiking access? A couple of videos show some interesting options within hiking distance...

There is an entire Argentina/SA thread around here somewhere, but yes, there is a ton of backcountry around there with a developed hut system.

Personally, I’d never book SA, until they have a base.
