https://planetski.eu/2021/03/19/luca...lfi-1973-2021/
From the article:
He was descending a 1,900m slope with a companion.
The avalanche happened around 2pm in the Flassin area, in the Gran San Bernardo Valley in the Aosta Valley at a height of around 1,800m.
The force of the avalanche tore off his transceiver but his body was found by an avalanche rescue dog.“How does it feel to be the greatest guitarist in the world? I don’t know, go ask Rory Gallagher”. — Jimi Hendrix

Sorry I didn't post on hear earlier. I lost a good and close friend. I've know Luca for nearly 20 years. For Luca the love of the mountains came first. I was lucky to first meet him part way down the Grand Envers, back when the might be 5 people of the Midi in a day.
