Wanted Kuat mini skinny or yakima skinny warrior or similar

I am looking for a narrow roof basket like a Kuat mini skinny or yakima skinny warrior. Ideally the Kuat because it has a fork mount built in.

    Thanks!

Consider Rerax made by John aka JET something here. Various widths and lengths.

    /\ Too kind!

I make custom length and width gear baskets from upcycled skis. I can ship them broken down with the 2 basic hand tools needed for you to build back up. Unless you are northern CO, then come over!

My website sucks, but you'll get the idea!

I have had people mount a fork-based set-up inside as well.

Thanks I will check it out!

You are correct, your website totally sucks!
I will send an email, but I suggest making them with wood as an option instead of skis. Use reclaimed pallets or something

reclaimed pallets would rot rather quickly unless heavily treated with expensive toxic or green resins, coatings, paint etc

Agreed and a ski's construction lends itself very well to vibrations, temp swings, moisture. Also makes each one unique.

The ribs are aluminum and now powdercoated black (old pics show bare AL which works too).

I bought this last month after not finding a SkinnyWarrior used anywhere. Chinese knockoff yes, but good value for the price.

Old thread but: selling my generic crossbar-mounted half basket. Holding up well but I’m replacing the factory rack and crossbars on my truck with an aftermarket flat rack so no longer need the basket. $80 + ship, which might be crazy expensive. Pickup might be better, Boulder or Winter Park.
