    BOA help(scarpa alien 1.1)

I'm replacing snapped boa wires on my alien 1.1 and by mistake disassembled the part attached to the tongue. Anyone know how to put it back together? Also any suggestions on how to easily run the wires correctly?

Thanks, I've reached out to both BOA and Scarpa, no response yet.

Here's a pic of the problem in case anyone has any ideas.

Do you need boa parts? or the boa wire/string? or directions on what to do?

I've got all the parts, managed to replace the other boot(after I took this one apart) successfully. I need to put this one back together without breaking it in the process.

I was smart enough to only take on apart at a time

The other boot has since had its frayed lace replaced and I got the wire routed fine. Unfortunately while I know what it needs to look like at the end, I cannot find a way to get it there without loads of force. Nothing will slot in and I'm worried that in the process of applying that force I will break the tab visible on this part.

It looks like the tab isn't supposed to be pressed in, but just put beneath the part still in the boot, so you put the bottom side in with the tab and press the top in afterwards.

and this gentlemen is why I don't buy anything that has any sort of BOA or BOA iterations.

They might make the boot fit good, but they've never convinced me they are reliable. I prefer laces esp. on mountain bike shoes.

I managed to get it back in. It was fiddly but the correct approach was the put the tab in first. I ended up squeezing the other part and deforming it a bit which allowed the insert to slip in. Re-lace is all done

Good job, sir! Handy to know people know how to fix these in case I (or someone else) buys boots or shoes with Boa! I'm actually on the verge of ordering bowling shoes with Boa on them, because it's very handy, no laces to trip on!
