Front range class 5 mega-killstorm aka snowpocalypse 2021

I think it's gonna just miss us in Littlefun but I'm excited at the prospect of more panic buying at work in advance of it's arrival.

Please use this thread to post pics of skiing the flatirons, anatomically correct snowmen, and cars plowed in so deep that only god himself could get them out.
Brandine: Now Cletus, if I catch you with pig lipstick on your collar one more time you ain't gonna be allowed to sleep in the barn no more!
    Cletus: Duly noted.

I was up in Summit in '03. I went down to road bike the Denver trails two days before the storm in shorts and short sleeves, and the same ten days later. In between, Evergreen got 7-8 feet, Denver schools were closed for three days, and I70 was shut a few days from Avalanches at Silver Plume. Abasin didn't open for three days mainly because the employees couldn't get there, and they were still bombing that slope over the parking lot the day they opened (with the road closed and everybody up in the lodge). It was an adventure. I hope this is followed by a bunch of 4-6 inchers all April. I'll be fully vaccinated.

Wait, how did Trump get a hold of the nuke codes to drop a 5 mega ton bomb on the Front Range?

Did you already have storms with names that start with A through W? Or are they just randomly naming the things now?

I think Cantori jinxes snow. He's pretty good at bringing in the wind and rain, though.

We’ve been through this. Winter storms are at the Weather Channel’s whimsy.

I wonder if there's anyone actually named Xylia. I'm gonna say no.

Thank you. Live TR is needed.

When there is 4" of snow at 3PM tomorrow, let's all quote everyone who says, "I knew this storm was overhyped. Storm is a dud. What a joke."

Then, on Sunday at 3PM, when there is 20" of snow, let's all quote those same weather tards again.

NWS Boulder dude is clearly already over the hype:

    "National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
    822 PM MST Fri Mar 12 2021

    .UPDATE...
Issued at 821 PM MST Fri Mar 12 2021

Satellite pictures are showing Stratus covering most of the CWA up
to the continental divide. Observations and web cameras are
showing fairly dense fog over about the eastern half of the CWA.
There is little to precipitation falling at this time.

I will lower the pops for the rest of this evening based of
    reality.
Will add fog to the eastern half of the plains as well.

Will leave highlights going as is with this update."

    Just you wait.
Nine months from now, every born girl on the front range will be Xylia.

We had three or four storms of 20+ inches last winter in Boulder, but there wasn't anywhere near the hype as this storm.
