There is not a Chinese herb to cure everything. Ground up rhino horns for impotence is a pretty good window into their “ancient wisdom”. Acupuncture has evidence it’s helps in some limited situations but for the most part is equivalent to just randomly inserting the needles anywhere.

The placebo effect works - even when you tell someone they are receiving a placebo.

I started this thread because hot Carl was stalking me, and cunting up a thread about frontline workers.

My personal story is I don’t know shit about homeopathy.
Dad was MD. Said it was hokum.
But since then I’ve met folks who swear by “alternative” medicine. I guess it’s all placebo. Except for weed. That cures asthma, anxiety, depression, pain, and everything.

Ironically, when cleaning out my dads moms house after she passed, found so many dusty tinctures. Turns out my dads dad (who died when my dad was 16) was a homo believer.

So there you have it.
I’d like to learn more.
Big pharma only cares when there’s a not-out-of-patent drug they can sell you. (Those hyphens are for viva)
