    Group Buy Ikon 21/22

    Hey Maggot Family,

It is open again as of tomorrow morning. Please send me a PM for details. There is even less I can share on this public page this year, so if you are a member of our tribe, you already have some idea of what this is. We are going to pool our resources and go skiing.

Spring skiing starts March 12 at two spots, more on April 4th and even more on April 12th. I should have you set up with the group no later than Friday March 12th.

Please keep details out of this thread and PM with any questions.

Good of you to organize this again.

I'll ask two general questions here - and if you can't answer publicly, just ignore my post:

1)Is the group buy price any different from the renewal discount price?

2)If we deferred a 2020-21 pass and are going to use deferral credit towards a 2021-22 pass, does that affect participation in the group buy?

Deferrals are being considered Renewals, so you'll get the renewal price. Deferrals can participate, as can Renewals. That said, you'd be helping someone else more than yourself. El Chup I PM for more a more detailed answer.

Has anyone used affirm to break up the payments? Just wondering what the impact on a credit report is if you choose one of the no interest options which I believe are the 3 and 6 month versions. I recall last year that it was done via 4 installments but not with Affirm? Just want to make sure I'm not missing anything here.

This is a change, but I have no idea what the impacts are. My understanding is that "financing" in the past was just a payment plan with our Ikon overlords. If there was a third party involved it was all on the back end and hidden from the consumer. Now, the "financing" is through a financing company, so there may be things like credit checks and almost certainly the opportunity to fuck up your credit if you default.

I have purchased items with Affirm in the past and I believe it was a soft inquiry

Correct. Itís a soft inquiry. Reports as an installment loan.
