If both are the tails I’d throw a angle grinder on there, cut off 4-5 cm and put in a few sheet metal screws to be sure it stays together- i did it to some rossis and patrolled on them for three years. Tip and tail have no core generally, just plastic spacer, so no water intrusion issue.

Dang, that sounds like a legit way to repair it. Save that idea for later...

A dremel would make cleaner work of it, but yeah, for a $50 ski just cut off the crap and pin the end in place. You can do it all in one go if you’re not worried about making it pretty: push the edge back in place, drill a pilot hole, slather slow set epoxy over everything, throw a little bitty screw in there and clamp the base back down either side of it. You can run the screw right through the top if you need to and file the end down flat after it dries. Clean up the excess epoxy with a flapper wheel on an angle grinder, bench sander, whatever and ski em till they explode.

    Nice score.

Same thing happened to my beloved lotus 120 200cm

Paid for a professional repair and it came out minty.
They used orange hardman and clamped it for two days.
    No after pictures.

Given that theyre the 197 variant...I think cutting off a few cms will work just fine.. Cheers folks.

Given how fucked up the last end-loser let those tails get cutting them off the tails and sealing the ends with epoxy might be the best

or you could try a more proper fix and then still end up cutting them off anyway
