    Riser sticking to boot fix?

    Boots: Hawx XTD 120
    Binders: ATK Crest 10
    Skis: Black Crows camox freebird

On the high riser in any fresh snow, the ski flexes and the pointy end of the riser gets stuck in the tread of the boot. It’s getting worse as the boot gets more worn. The risers aren’t floppy, they’re nice and stiff to move, I don’t think the newer ATK magnetic risers would help this at all.

What would the collective recommend for a fix? This is getting annoying as hell on tours, as the middle riser isn’t very tall at all.

JB Weld/Epoxy on the boot? (Might mess up their walking ability a little)

Grind off the pointy end of the riser?

    Some other TGR voodoo/magic?

you might slop a little aqs of a piece of ductape on the sole and if it did work it would be a maintenance thing

I have the same thing happening with XTD 130's on ATK R12's, G3 Zeds and Fritschi Tectons. I haven't had them lift the riser all the way up, but they make this annoying clicking sound. Sticky rubber combined with the shape of the sole under the heel? Adding silicone spray to that part of the sole works for a while.
