The 96's feel significantly quicker edge to edge than the 106's and feel narrower in the bumps which I had hoped for.
Yep. Always on the line for me - on all the widths and model years I've owned. Never been disappointed.

Well hell these are available now at great prices.

I would mount these with an ATK FR 14 or the like as a quiver of one travel ski, like for BBI 23 in the Alps for instance. I was looking at the Salomon QST 106 but the lighter weight of the Ripstick is certainly attractive and not one of you has said "this ski is too light."

Blister says the 188 measures just 183.8 straight pull, and that's right in my wheel-house. Seems like a no brainer.

I skied the Solomon QST106 & the Ripstick 106 almost back to back, the Ripstick skis like it has a longer turning radius so it was faster to rip GS turns, otherwise it’s almost a tossup.

    Ripstick 188 (184.5 straight pull) between a Nordica 186 (184.5) and a Volkl 184 (182.5).

    This seems PSA worthy: https://lonepinegearx.com/collection...ng-skins-c65b6

Brand new pair of 2020 188 Ripstick 96 with Kingpins and Skins for $650

If it was a pair of 106s, I'd be mighty tempted.

Black Ripstick 106's just went onsale all over for 674. Still pricey.... if they were 499 i'd have purchased them already.

I love the non black 106 in 180cm for daily tele use. I'm on the fence on these. That is all.

Got Mrs K the 102W in 162. Putting shifts on them for 50/50 usage. I gather the skis are very similar if not identical to the men's version save for the recommended line is 2cm forward (the maths check out). It looks dang forward to me at -6.5. Those with ladies in ripsticks, what did you do? Any reasonably biomechanical reason for this?

Her daily driver's are blizzard black pearls in 165 which look to be about -10.5 and they ski too long for her

For the new ripsticks Kinda want to go -2 to be on the regular men's line which equates to -8.5 at this length. Prolly will just do -1

My wife skis the 94W on the recommended line in the 162 and loves them. Advanced intermediate that likes to ski at a moderate pace.
She told me this fall to never sell them as I was selling her other 3 pairs. Wildcat 86C, Pandora 104 and Sheeva 11s all gone now. Probably will buy her those 102s next year.
