Do you have the equipment or knowledge to sync two generators in parallel?

    What could go wrong?

ETA, not quite as critical for single phase as it is for 3 phase.

One thing to consider is that the starting load of an AC unit is about 4x the running load. The table I looked at said a 2 ton AC unit requires a 8kw generator.

I don’t feel like this has much to do with the generator question. Might as well start a new thread; “do you store any gas tools or gas cans in your basement?” For a lot of people the answer is “where else am I gonna put that crap?”

Consumer Reports has a good web article “Choose the right size Generator” which goes into a lot of what you’ll need to consider. Starting load amps is a big consideration as Billy mentioned above. Also, agree what SB said that knowledge is a real factor when dealing with electricity.

I was just curious. We have a little unit that will run a window unit, a fridge, and a freezer. Even if I went bigger/nicer I doubt I’d try to run the heat pump. Between the wood stove and window unit, we’re covered for the extremes.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

Yeah, I was not sure where you lived. When it’s really cold you need heat, much more than you need AC when it’s hot. Looks like you have it covered with stove and window unit.

When those go on sale, I buy a bunch and freeze it. It keeps well.

The Utz Grillo's flavored chips were on sale and I bought some. Why? Why didn't I just buy the pickles? Why do we buy and eat flavored whatevers instead of the real thing, especially when the real thing is also open and eat? it's the Hedberg turkey bit.

Need suggestions from the Costco 2-Da y delivery selection online. I'm always coming up short and spending inordinate amount of time trying to get my order to $75 bucks for free shipping. Closest store is 2 hours away.

Seriously, you have problems spending $75 at Costco? It’s usually at least $200 when I check out.

The Armanino pesto that Costco carries only at their Business Center near SFO (possibly at other Calif. Business Centers) is even better. (Freezer section, if they have it.)

I ran through the store the other day and found Kirkland pants (tech pants I believe) that are light and looked stylish. Brought them home and these are now my favorite pants. I can wear them to work, play, and probably even on the hill for spring skiing. I got green but there were several other colors which I asked my wife to pick up today when she goes there.
