DPS joining the STP $199 Liberty / High Society clearance ski club says a lot about current models.

Are the cassian alchemist 94 similarish to the explosive or older mantras?

Can’t directly answer the question, but have F95 earlier version and love them. Never skied alchemist anything from DPS, but am intrigued by the limited description I found and thinking about buying F94 and A94 as a hedge in case I don’t love the A94. F is described as damper and less responsive. Hoping A94 is even better - but I am guessing the foundation construction may be closer to the dampness associated with the old explosive/mantras.
Would love to hear any other thoughts from those with alchemist experience. Cassiar line is perfect for 80-90% of what I get to ski. #notadentist

Anyone else thinks this is the real "end" for STP? Feels like they are clearing the last of the winter hard goods over the last month or two.
With no new arrivals, it certainly feels like it. End of an era!

I have a pair of Pure3 Cassiar 95s. Front talking with DPS the Cassiar 95 is a bit more front side oriented and I can confirm that I don't love them off piste. On a hard and fast day they are really fun. The Cassiar 94s are supposed to be better off piste which is what I was hoping for with the 95s.
If anybody wants an excellent condition on piste ski my 95s are 185cm in length and I'd let them go to give these a try.

I grabbed some Fischer Rangers they had up a month ago. It said 1 left. I purchased and paid for them.
Next day I got a cancellation notice and they returned my money. I figured somebody got to them before me.
Day after that they were listed again. SO I grabbed them again and paid.
Next day, cancellation and money returned.
Same damn thing happened a 3rd time before I said F^&* it, STP is just playing games here.
WTF!

I think that DPS had a good thing in the mid-2000s when its line-up was Cassiar/Wailer 105/Lotus 120/138.
Since Stephan is gone, I don't consider them.“How does it feel to be the greatest guitarist in the world? I don’t know, go ask Rory Gallagher”. — Jimi Hendrix

Regarding the end of STP as we know it: they’re now owned by TJX, the parent company for TJ Maxx, Homegoods, and Marshalls. I’m guessing they’ll become more of a discount outdoor clothing retailer once they get through a few years of hard good inventory.
