    PSA: DPS Lotus 138

Not my sale, but can help picking up/shipping. I've heard these are collectibles nowadays.

Holy shit, never used or mounted. Damn I have this ski but I’m tempted to snatch them

Edit: actually I have the rocker 1 and these are the rocker 0, I believe. Very similar topsheet

Just called, he said if the current buyer doesn't pick them up today, they're all mine. Still wondering about details on the model.

listen to Marshal & check the tech talk thread for specifics. This was the first year of the lotus, low rise tip/tail compared to future iterations, really thin ski that is stiff and light but gets thrown around a TON in anything chundery.

this version (rocker 0) and the next year (rocker 1) were the best IMO.

So I think I’m the “current buyer” but am not sure I can get down to Highland today. I’m happy to pass on them if another mag is second in line...

    Seems like that is tuco?

I had this version (rocker 0), and the only thing it does better than later versions is cut through crust/ windboard type snow, as it has the pointy narrow tip like a Spatula. I sold mine years ago for cheap.

I wouldn't get too hot and bothered about picking up rocker 0, IMHO. Definitely read through the long thread on 138s/Spatulas, lots of good info and pics in there.

agree, would view rocker 0 more as a historical artifact / novelty, where the Rocker 1 thru 3.1 as legit “every good day” skis.

in fact I would argue to NOT skis these for two reasons:
1: they don’t ski anywhere near as well as later 138s
2: the entire first run was recalled as top sheets fell off

While you're here Marshal... do you have any idea where boot center should be from the tail of the 192 Rocker 3.2 Pure 3 L138s...the blue ones? I want to play around with either inserts for alpine and tech binders and just want to make sure I'm templating for the right mounts.
