But for a public figure on national TV?
Anytime that wanker is on TV the entire world will be thinking “where are his hands?” not “hmm, what a thoughtful legal perspective”

Sometimes if I have a bit of down time I stop by my house to take a dump and let my dog out to pee.
He’s probably so confused we have these opposite lives. I get a break to go inside and poop. He gets a break to go outside and poop. All I want is to stay home and relax. All he wants is to go roam around all day. Somehow this cruel world gives us both the opposite of what we want. It’s pretty messed up when you think about it.

"In the United States, organizations where employees have been largely working from home for the past 16 months are having a mild freak-out. Depending on the organization, they’re hemming and hawing. They’re treading water. They’re having seemingly endless meetings with HR. They’re analyzing focus group data and surveys, and drafting carefully worded “back to the office” plans. And they’re dealing with or anticipating or totally ignoring employee blowback."

Lol, corporate dickbags who have risen to their level of incompetence cannot take credit for things they didn’t do unless they can micro manage and lord over their “team” in person.
Don’t forget we have a lunch meeting in the Mt. Evans conference at noon (again, that’s lunch, you worthless shits).
Please pre-read the deck that we’ve been working on as the only thing we’ve worked on in 3 weeks.
You should be on the distro list for the deck. Please pre read the deck prior to the meeting.
We will have unsweetened iced tea and 3.32 inch Subway sandwiches and they will forget the Mayo packets.
Don’t be late or there will only be one non-veggie left and you’ll have to pretend to want the vegggie so as to not be the asshole who took the last non-veggie.
We will be presenting to C level and BOD so make sure to keep it as absolutely stupid and lacking any detail as possible because they can’t be bothered with details. In their head they are already at the course or the club so be nice.

Oops I forgot to attach the agenda.
I worked on the agenda all day yesterday.
Begin meeting
Power Point
End meeting
Please see attached. It’s important we stay focused during the presentation so please familiarize yourselves with the agenda. And remember to pre read the deck.
We’ve worked hard for 3 weeks making a clip art cartoon show for these c level lords so show em what you got.

Remote workers....what do you actually do?
Sorry forgot the attachment. See attached.
Oh and PS:
Can someone loop Brian in on this? I think I heard him say he was going to Jason’s Deli, I’d really like to have him attend the Subway summit PP dick meeting instead. Hopefully someone knows how “contacts” works?
See you at 11:55 in the Mt. Evans conference room!!! XOXO!!!

Bill,
Brian is in a dev team presentation from 10:00 to noon. I’ll have him come by when he’s done.
Don’t worry about an extra catering packet though; he can eat when he gets home to Loveland at 7:45 or so.
I think we can’t use his insights but to have a backup would be nice. I’ll let him know to be there. I sent him the deck so he can pre read if he gets some downtime in the dev meeting.

Sounds like Brian may not have the bandwidth. Let’s level-set post meeting and get him up to speed. We’ll need to circle back on our key metrics and clear the parking lot of low hanging fruit by quarter end for the next strategic planning session with the board initiatives.

Might need a new thread.... but... I find this topic interesting.
Mags that were going into work originally then sent WFH via Covid... are you being asked to come back in full time? Part time? What is your sentiment? Do you know if anyone who moved out of commuting distance and is now being asked to be at the office?
I have been going to work through this whole deal, so this discussion doesn’t apply to me.... My wife was sent WFH, but her consulting work is pretty applicable to WFH, but some in her office are back at the office due to preference rather than need. She will likely be a 1 day a week person moving forward...
A friend of mine is in commercial real estate (office space). After having literally zero business (and income) in 2020, his 2021 business is back up to ~50% of what it was preCovid... which is higher than I expected.... some of that is companies, at the end of a lease, choosing to downsize.... but a lot of it seems to be “normal” business for him...

My company is in commercial real estate and things are better than expected. We have been gobbling up smaller organizations though.

I know of a couple people who were looking to buy a house during the pandemic and started getting priced out, and they bought waaaay further out than they would have otherwise justifying it by thinking they werent going into the office much at all. Its been fine for the past year with zero commute traffic and WFH when they want, but i dont think they fully understand what a 3hr RT commute is gonna be like....
our office was full WFH for about 6months and slowly opened back up. We have about 33-50% capacity on any given day now. Folks in managerial or leadership roles tend to be the ones to come in, along with some of the gungho younger folks. I feel like the folks still full-time WFHing are falling behind as its harder to mentor someone if you have to pick up the phone every time to give them some advice, or they dont get to overhear you on a call deal with a situation. Or they arent physically there "in the shit" with you when a fire drill happens, nor are they there afterwards when your sharing a beer on friday afternoon. Ive been back full time for a while... it turns out that when a space is specifically designed for productivity in your field of work, you are more productive than crammed into the corner of a bedroom squinting at a small screen trying to talk over the dog and cat playfighting.

Looks like I'll be returning to the office on 7/12. My initial plan is to go in three days and WFH two days.
