No insider knowledge but my guess is that Schoeller priced themselves out of the market after people realized how good it is. I think it’s still available- just too spendy to meet garment price points. The last company I saw using Dryskin is Kitsbow.
You’d have to pry my Schoeller-era Cloudveil out of my cold dead hands.

I use the pearl Izumi launch pant, I run hot so usually dont need long underwear but they are baggy enough that I can add a layer if it is really cold. Also, they are great bike pants in the fall.

Ski / breakdancing pants at the South Lake Tahoe Kmart. Good for clearing snow from driveway, hanging out at casino, etc.

Any softshell outdoor pants. If you also want to use them for AT skiing, either get some with an ankle zip and gusset right away, or add it yourself after purchase.
Mammut has a pretty nice selection, and they come in tall and short inseam. As mentioned, Eddie Bauer Guide and Marmot.
La Sportiva and Dynafit have nice ones too.
I XC ski in soft shell pants almost all the time.

Patagonia Wind Shield, but it's been out of stock all winter. Good for 20-40 degrees, lower if layered.

Check out the First Lite Corrugate Guide pants. I’m not a Nordic skier but I wear these pants hunting and think they might work. Stretchy, tapered to ankle, not super silly looking, non camo colors available, useful pockets, maggot ran company.

That’s a crease built in, not a pleat. They’re extremely good pants for aerobic activity. Not as tight as skinny jeans. You can go straight to apres and wow the ladies.

Creases do not hide boners as well as pleats do. Impress the ladies indeed.

I never understood people snowshoeing on hardpack. I also never realized someone could put their skins on backwards, or put their foot in the opposite boot. Thanks, TRG's.
