Looks like back to the tailwater for a bit after last “pre-run” off lunch break.

Oh well...the tailwater had some good fish last week. Hopefully they are still there tomorrow.

Always so crazy to me how much harder the freestone fish fight. There has to be a ration like 15:20...doesn’t really reduce to 3:4 well.

It lacked in size but made up for it by the fact that it was the only damn fish we caught in 6 hours. And bulls are pretty cool.

Hah..yeah he was a fat one. Would have sworn he was 20+, but...after measuring my net marks from memory of how long it was..and I didn’t measure when I caught him...he was only 16”. Still have a hard time believing that, but that’s what it said. Just a fat stocker. I’ve walked by some of the hatchery tanks...there are some monsters of all 3 trout in there. Not much pride in catching them, but it’s close to me, and a quick trip.

Enjoy the rain and snow and the covid cluster fuck where nobody works anymore that is the salmon fly hatch on the HF. Fishing has still been pretty decent. Good luck.

Lifesplit, i think you’re talking about the A bar. Also maybe you can spread the word to your Montana brothers that the Ora boat ramp is not a camp ground. Even Utards know that.
