After rolling solo with the dag, met up with the wife and some friends and did a overnighter. We like dags.

Sweet photos! Glad it worked out for you. I am hoping to hit the same stretch next week. One of the best stretches of water ANYWHERE

Question for you more experienced fly fishermen: how long do you stay in one spot of a river before moving upstream? And/or do you stay put, changing flies often in that one spot or move on and keep the same fly on (assuming you are not fishing during a hatch)?

Depends on the water and how I'm fishing. If I'm nymphing a super fishy spot, I will beat it up and probably even cycle through a couple of flies. If I'm streamer fishing or throwing big dries, I like to fish fast cover water. If I'm matching a hatch and fishing to rising fish, I'll fish till I feed 'em or put 'em down.

Been camping down in the valley. Fishing/hiking during the day, Ryan Bingham at night.

He jumped eventually, the water was maybe 4ft deep. You're right, the big ones always stay down.
