Caddis are out and I have moved fish camp. We have a couple decent days in the forecast this week. Then by the weekend things turn to shit.

Well...April is over. All you mags that live out west know the magic of April I am sure.

The local tailwater only yielded three fish during today’s lunch break...but what she lacked in numbers, she made up for with the final fish coming in at 22”. Always amazes me when these long fish get pulled out of tiny seams close to town.

Drove past your camp a bit ago Swimmy. Didnt fish with the crowds and headed east. Also got my 1st shot so no rowing/boat for me. Were heads popping yet?

Tried catching some fish on a dry today because the caddis hatch was super strong yesterday on the lower river. Didn’t see a single rise and only had one come check out my fly in the hour I fished. Think I was an hour too late.

Oh well...it was peaceful and spiritual and all that stuff people talk about. The lighting on the river was perfectly picturesque through town. Yada yada. Tomorrow I might jump out early from work again and bring the nymphing rod...will probably catch fish.

Nice. Always love to see westslope in the lower. Agree or disagree but putting the poison up cherry ck had an effect. Have a good friend up cherry towards Ted's land who has a very vocal opinion on such matters(good or bad).

never seen so many brand new boats from warm to (cherry)/blacks. Also fuck that guy who parked his trailer across 4 spots.

Thanks for the reply swimmy. Headed that way after hitting the other spot this morning. Nice to be wet wading and have heads popping. Currently raining cats and dogs.

Been really getting out a lot lately and the fishing has been great. Gonna have to mow the grass tomorrow and then mother’s day brunch.

Not sure how long things will continue with our low snow pack...but glad to have a tailwater and hopefully this coming storm and cooler weather will help.
