33º and windless was just right for a spin in the forest. Inch of snow, some slick roots and a noisy front brake weren't bothersome.Click image for larger version.

Could have used that useless effort on our trails today. Aware of the debate on doing this, but leaves hiding rocks make for some interesting riding. Some cases better just rip straight line rocks (you can’t see) be damned, others making it pretty treacherous.

These guys need to stop napping and start leaf blowing!

Shit! I'm headed up North for the holiday. Our tentative plan is to be back Saturday if you're still around?

Rode yesterday. Played pinball with a couple trees and smashed my knuckle...ouch!

My bud Nick on this rock feature I built. The exit is blind, so scouting is recommended. (The entrance has a log ride in the background)

Just a few patches of ice/snow at Franklin Falls. First attempt at night riding made me realize how inadequate my $25 Amazon light is. Couldn't see shit, but still fun.

After reading powbmps post on Franklin I decided to change plans and head south to Bear Brook. Temps never got cold enough last night to freeze the dirt but not much mud anymore after the sun/warmth/wind yesterday. I've managed a few good rides on the new bike that arrived just before Thanksgiving. It can start being winter now.

Busy morning yesterday so early afternoon ride in order

The two crazy wind events over the last 10 days dropped a ton of wood on the E/SE backyard trails, off the bike about 15 times+-.

    Three in a row here

Spun out on some rocks/roots climbing. Downhills were interesting as more snow fell.

Back at the ranch, around an inch had fallen. Hopefully the trails stay covered until spring.

While my brand new touring set up continues to collect dust, the fat bike is getting some miles.

2021 NE - Flatten That Berm

Coastal storm gave enough to freshen things up. From yesterday at Bradbury.

Cheater line to the right of the bridge. When you crest the first part of the bridge, you can see where some people bailed (and made the next section tough to clean)

21 was a challenging year, on a few levels, and I haven't been riding much since the summer so I feel kind of out of touch. I'm trying to get the 22 thread together and coming up empty. Throw out some ideas for a thread topic.

Hi my teenage son has grown so much since the fall he should really be on a large or maybe even an XL.

He is 6' tall now and rides a medium Kona Honzo DL which fit him in September.

He rides with a team and races the New England Youth Cycling but he is flat pedals and baggy shorts etc. Not a racer.

It's a long shot but maybe you are riding a similar bike in large and it's too big?

This really only makes sense to swap locally. Some $ could change hands to make it work.

I can't do another new bike right now. I am going to look for a frame.

Honzo. Chameleon. That kind of thing. He would love a FS but not happening.

Used bikes are just crazy right now.

    Happy trails!

Local conditions are kinda phucked now. Thin layer of ice on most trails. Rode the fs with 2.8's and it worked, but was sketchy. I believe skinny studs will be the best option, but there is so much non-ice, studs will be lost on rock and dirt surfaces.

Any mags have beta on fat biking in North Conway? We are considering a long weekend up there in February and want to get a day skiing at Cannon and another riding somewhere.

Why stay in Conway if you want to ski Cannon? That's a haul through either notch. PRKR mountain in Littleton grooms for fat bikes closer to Franconia.
