Help save some land in Spokane from being sold to developers!
Hey hey —
With the lack of snow I’ve been devoting my time to some conservation projects here in Spokane. We are hoping to save an 80 acre parcel currently owned by DNR to the north of Camp Sekani. We have agreements from Washington Trail Association and Evergreen East in place to manage the land and I’m working with Evergreen East to add easements to build a trail connecting it to Beacon/Sekani.
Please sign our petition if this resonates with you and share with kindred spirits!
Thanks!

Done. I loved biking Beacon when I lived in Spokane and that would be a huge loss to the 'kan biking community. Good luck to y'all

My understanding is that the development to the north would impact the tops of the downhill trails on the camp sekani side of things. Maybe that has already been resolved. Either way, I signed the petition as I think more bike trails is a good thing and that trail system was one of my favorites in spokane area.

Thanks for all the support guys!!
Good stuff happening this week, today or tomorrow board members from Inland NW Land Conservancy are walking the property to get a feel for what the land is like. From there they will score the property based on the benefit it can provide to four and two legged creatures in Spokane. Later this month they will vote if it’s something they want to expend resources on saving!
Fingers crossed!

Is there a Land Trust local to Spokane that could join forces too?
