Dammit man. Joined a society, even for just a little while.
In order to properly convert this thread to a polyasshat thread to more fully enrage the liberal left frequenting here...... (insert latest democratic blunder of your choice).

The Padded Room has scooped all my usual sources. Nothing yet on ESPN or The Athletic.

Still the home run record holder IMO.
Got 406 out of 415 votes when he came up for the HOF. 9 people didn't vote for him?

The last great home run hitter without a chemically engorged head or atrophied testicles. RIP.

Always thought it was ironic that Hank caught so much shit for breaking a record that many thought a man with some African blood in him held. Ty Cobb called the Babe the N word many a time.

On deck when Aaron hit his shot heard 'round the world...
The book this session was about is a short but very interesting read.

Isn’t RFK Jr the toolbox who wrecked his car into a closed street barrier in DC high on pills?
Why should I care what he says again?I still call it The Jake.

Yeah, he's an authority on par with Jenny McCarthy.
But back to Hank. What an amazing player for such a long time. Obviously breaking Babe Ruth's HR record is what everyone knows him for, but he still has the all-time records for RBIs and total bases. For TB he has 6,856 and second place is Stan Musial way back at 6,134. Hank had eight seasons with 40 or more homers, and 15 with 30 or more. That's pretty incredible. He was Mr. consistent.
