Growing up, and luckily through most of my 20s and 30s I was getting ~100 days in a year locally and travelling. Turns is turns I always said. Didn't matter where.

Then, life happened and I missed a year. Then I only got 3 days in the year after that. My next day on skis was the year after that in WNY in a once in a decade blizzard.

I got off the lift and made exactly one turn before I was reminded of why we go skiing.

I have been so beat up the last few years I don't know if I ski any more. Doesn't look like this year between covid and my hip so I guess I'll be one year older when I do.

Because Icarus hit the ground and became a bloody heap..or because my anatomy doesn't allow me to fly. Skiing is as close as I can get.

I think the actual skiing part is overrated. It's expensive, cold and requires quite a bit of effort.

SFB, that looks like a lot of work to climb up that. An hour of climbing for 3.5 mins of skiing?
