    Shapes are same but stiffness/materials may vary. Here is a photo of the cuff of a kr2 130 showing several stiffness options like the tongues.

    Yeah what’s the use case for these?
    - short sidecountry tours?
    - want a gripwalk sole for the apres dance scene?
    - want to ski a pin binding mounted ski inbounds with an alpine boot?

    Ski hill then shorter sidecountry off the hill with out having to change boots. Not skiing a walkmode boot inbounds all the time. Carbon cuff on the Air130. Too much time and all the right tools.

    For me it's basically...krypton flex and feel, with gripwalk. Which was not otherwise attainable.

    It's also easily reversible. If you don't overtorque the fasteners, you can have one clog (in my case one that has significant $ invested into shell work) and could swap out cuffs for alpine/tour use. That's not something I would do but I could see it making sense for some people.


    Also, tinkering is fun. So there's that.
