Random Stupid/Brilliant Thought Of The Day
So, If there were a usb/li ion heated/cooled water bottle available, would millions of people buy it?
On TGR it would belong in the “This is what’s wrong with the industry“ thread.
You personally would not be the target market.
I searched and found ‘smart’ bottles that remind you to drink, but nothing heated/cooled.
But you think there are enough dweebs that I could sell this on late night TV?
Not really investigating this, but I see a market opportunity as I go out for a fat bike ride with hot Cocoa in an insulated bottle.

Someone suggested an e-bike plug in model, like heated grips...

I'd argue that something like this might be really nice for driving out to ski the Pass and not having to pack 3 different thermoses of hot tea/coffee/soup/whatever. Maybe make it outta gluten free non-conflict recycled steel and an optional bidet attachment for cleanup after the frozen vault toilet experience but before the sweaty ass skin-up. Now I know some of you are considering the hygiene implications here but we've got that covered: "it's probiotic".

Pretty sure you guys are late to the party, although it isn’t usb. USB might not be able to kick enough juice to heat it. I have the regular coffee mug and it works well.

Go for it. I sold 3500 Betty "Betty Crocker Cooks Chinese" 12 page pamphlets for $10.99+ $3.95 S&H. by putting ads in 3 million Sunday papers. If you throw shit against enough walls, some is gonna stick. About 1/2 of 1% was the rule. Pay someone for fulfillment who does fulfillment to ship and to handle the 1% who want their money back but never sent any. Put fulfillment cost into S&H. Plus a little for you.

For 150 bucks I would happily pack several separate yeti thermos whatevers, just to not have to worry about whether I forgot to charge my mug or whether there is an available usb plug.
But, again I'm not your target audience. No this wouldn't be a what's wrong with the industry idea, as the ember mugs have shown. Get it at $49.99 and you'll rule the market!

And in three easy payments of $19.99.

My wife has an insulated cup with a place to plug it in. No cord with it though--she got it for a buck at the thrift.
