Old STH14 bindings and brakes, gripwalk compatible?
I have been having issues with touring bindings while patrolling and found some older STH14 bindings that I have that have a height adjustable toe piece. I assume these will work fine with gripwalk even though they are from way before it existed?
I am missing a brake, anyone know where I can get some? I think they are 2007 sth14 drivers. I think the brakes are like 85s so I would need much bigger anyways.

The toe height will fit most likely, but I believe the issue is that the AFD geometry/angle of GW is different than alpine.

Nothing but speculation in that thread regarding this question.
Meh. All of my alpine bindings have Driver toes (916s/STH16 Steels/997s) and my only alpine boots have WTR soles on them permanently. I adjust the toe height the same way you would for an alpine boot and my knees haven't exploded yet. Gripwalk is pretty much a lower profile WTR as I understand it (correct me if I'm wrong) and have the same angle as WTR where the binding's AFD makes contact. They'll fit, and it's up to you if you want to ski them. If you're worried try to find a shop that will test the release for you.

I just got new Salomon shift boots. My old STH's seen to have just as good, or better, boot to AFD interface as my STH2 WTR's that are GW compatible.
What is salmon just lazy? Please explain.
I'm going to ski them.

No they aren't officially compatible but yes, they work.
I've done it for years.

I’ve been using this combo for almost a decade (?) release is reliable and as expected.
