FS a bunch of flourinated wax

So I bought a bunch low and high flouro wax for the racer kids but it was outlawed last year. So I guess I’ll try and sell it. The high flouro shit is crazy expensive so make me an offer I can’t refuse. If you’ve never skied it, it is really fast, like need to plow in the lift line instead of shuffle fast.

I’d like to sell the cases of LF as cases and individual bars. You can look up the prices and shoot me a PM. I’ll add prices a bit later if no one is interested.

I'm in for 2 180g bars of each kind of lo-flouro you have.

Could be convinced to take cases of it too, it's hard to tell what quantities you have of each temp range in the lo-flouro.

I don't need the HF stuff, I make lots of turns. Someone who skis faster would put that to better use.

If you’re using that much fluoro in a year, they should be making a reality show about your bazillion kids.

I’m just here to let you know...

You’re not the only race dad in this boat. Vibes.

It’s 5 bars of each in the cases

They sell for $35 a bar each on snowinn, around $50 a bar stateside. I’d take $100 a case?

I'll take a bar of the purple LF for my skate skis. How much for one?

Hoping you all are waxing outside, or at least in an open garage.

Doubt you have exhaust hoods. That shit is toxic.

    GLWTS and enjoy the glide.

PS - wonder how they enforce this at lower level events. Hudge advantage for cheating dads.

They’re apparently doing random testing at select events, but the ban only applies to non-FIS events in the US for this year. Which means if you are running FIS races, you need to be clean or ski non-FIS races on a separate pair of ski. FIS postponed it for another year because the testing device was prone to user error and they needed time to test it outdoors in ambient light, cold temps, etc. Enforcement won’t go in to action for a few years because the skis need to cycle out of the system; there’s regularly three or four year old skis in competition on the WC in speed events.

How about a list of what you have? That would be a little bit easier?

    LF7 180g x5
    HF5BW 60g x 2

    I'd like a 40 gram block of HF8, and one of HF7.

Please PM with a price and paypal address and we'll get it done.

Do you now need to get rid of your waxing gear as well - the brushes, irons etc. that touched the flouro or will a good cleaning do it?

They say brushes should be replaced if they have been used on floro.
And not to someone else’s brush that you don’t know where it’s been.

I read that the testing machine could just be replaced with a drip of water and a drop of olive oil. If both bead there is flouro.

FS a bunch of flourinated wax

USSA really screwed this one up.
Announcing in June that fluoro was banned for coming season kind of f#$ked everyone, especially those like me who bought a bunch of it in March/April.

Its fricken awesome on recreational skate skis but theres only so much of it I can use on those when all my wax bench time is spent on the kids racers.

Having sent 2 kids thru 11 yrs of racing including FIS I'll drop this here. Unless you are running DH or competing at Nationals, Fluoro is only good for boosting parental ego.

Ie 95% of the races there is a spread of >5 seconds between 1st and 10th. Fluoro adds hundredth's, line choice and proper pressure make up seconds.
Move upside and let the man go through...

QFT. I tell parents constantly not to waste money on expensive wax. Giving your kid a consistently tuned and prepped ski to train and race from will make a much bigger improvement than juicing him up at the start. Fluoros get you up to speed faster, which makes a big difference, but spending an hour a week working on getting out of the start gate will make a bigger difference for your average U12.

The biggest mistake I see race parents (and coaches) make with fluoros is not accounting for skier size. There’s a ton of people juicing in the start with a temp range that would be perfect for me at 200 lbs, but a 60 lb kid is almost never going to generate enough friction to make a high-fluoro concentration worthwhile because they’re barely changing the snow as they ski over it.

Sorry for the thread drift, detrusor. $50/40g is a steal for that stuff.

FS a bunch of flourinated wax

Wholeheartedly agree with your larger points about tactics, line, and technique being far far far more significant factors. And yes, frequently and consistently tuned skis for both training and racing is simple and critical.
But given all the time, money and effort expended on junior ski racing if it costs maybe $2 more to put LF on instead of CH then its a pretty easy choice - or was till it got banned. Never got into the HF stuff and pure overlays etc but I’m sure many were.

Anyway - sorry for the thread drift detrusor - bargains deals on fast wax for anyone who’s looking.

That's tempting, especially if it'll give more float or liven up some old slow skis. What is the difference between the BW and non-BW?
    No longer stuck.
