Yeah, I’d like this game a lot more if I didn’t have to listen to Joe Buck gush about Aaron Judge nonstop

Can I ask you to remember his romance with Kyle Schwarber during the 2016 Series for a moment?

Baseball is supposed to be about our best national values: hard work, community, perseverance. Instead, MLB is mimicking the worst of corporate America: gutting small towns to help billionaires get even richer. It’s a tough sell for MLB to build a stadium for one game while taking away two teams that local communities supported for decades.

Iowa still has three affiliated minor league teams — which means hundreds of hopeful young athletes get exploited by MLB in our state every year. Minor-league life might seem pretty romantic, but the reality is bleak: poor housing, lack of quality food, low salaries, and required training with no pay. People are often surprised to hear that the average minor-leaguer makes under $7,500 per year.

Seen as a response to multiple articles about the Field of Dreams Game and “Where should MLB bring a big league game to next?”

    A: Chase Field.

In news that no one will care about, Tribe youngster Tristan McKenzie takes a perfect game into the 8th today while the Indians pummel the Tigers 11-0.

Also, they got out of town without giving up Miggy’s 500th HR. Kudos boys.
