they just showed a graphic saying that freeman has gone 32 straight plate appearances without a single swing and miss.

Can’t believe the Sox managed to hang that L on Cole. Impromptu bullpen game came through for them.

Interesting take Benny. For one I don’t think the committee was as white as you imagine from everything I’ve read today but whatever.
If they would have gone the route of the edgier leagues or past expansion teams we could have expected an animal name and a lot of teal in the new colors.
That what you like? Cool.
They keep their colors and have a connection to the past. The script “Guardians” is half of the old script “Indians” for Pete’s sake. I think it works. Many won’t. As is life.
I’m more pissed about taking winning games into the 9th back to back nights and giving it up to the Rays. Or Devil Rays. Or whatever they are.
They have a shit load of teal in their colors too. Maybe that’s they key?I still call it The Jake.

Dodger fans know enough to give Price a standing O after 5 & 2/3rds of very efficient pitching which is exactly what we needed

I can tell you just about any name of a color that Porsche slapped on a car for the better part of 3 decades, but I can’t make that claim when it comes to splitting the hues of the late 90s most favorite color.
Sherwin-Williams is based in Cleveland. I’m just glad they weren’t consulted on a new color scheme for the team.I still call it The Jake.

I just think they totally missed the boat with Cleveland Rocks. It was a gift from above. The merchandising alone. Built in catchy theme song. Partnership with R&R HOF. Air guitar contests. Elvis impersonator nights. Elvis mascot. Hair metal night. Country Rock for the pickup set. Sure, work in R&B and Rap. Christ, the T shirt sales, just to start.

I guess the stain and shame of Disco Demolition night will always be with Cleveland.

Well, for both, many participants are still alive, but passing soon. We'll do an oral history taping, fueled by beer. It will be like Drunk History, but, more authentic. The real deal.
