Love your optimism, I just wish I shared it.

This is usually one of my favourite days of the year. For years, no matter what else is going on ion the world, the knowledge Clayton Kershaw has a baseball in his weathered left hand would give me hope.
But I still dont see this season going off as planned. Is there a DH? How many teams make the playoffs? This has a huge impact on how teams are built and I dont think they can just throw a band aid on this right before opening day.

    What am I not seeing?

Any fans of mlb tv here? I got it mid way through last season for something like 80 USD. I see the renewal for the full season is 130 USD. Kinda balking at that cost. Do they penalize you in any way if I cancel for now and resubscribe mid season when the price drops?

If the season is played in any way, the Los Angeles Dodgers of Los Angeles have the best shot at the Title. This team is stacked. Thats why I am so hesitant to be excited.

We really think the season is going to move forward when some fairly important points are still up in the air and both sides are pissed at the other already and the negotiating teams are a laurel & hardy show on both sides?

What am I not seeing, why do we think the rabbit comes out of the hat?

i'm hoping they change the opening day schedule.

so far only 4 games start after 4pm ET and only one is at 7pm, the other 3 at 10pm. its freaking opening day, have at least two in primetime, bad enough its on a thursday as it is. the mlb just loves to shoot itself in the foot imo.

We’ve already covered that the Tribe opens in Detroit. On April 1.

Take your pick: snow showers or snow showers with gunfire.

Would it kill MLB to fill the Marlins stadium for a bit during April with away fans?

Opening Day games should be day games.
If you disagree you have no soul.

Maybe one in prime time EC, one Prime time WC.

On Instagram, Tebow announced his retirement in a striped uniform. Best I recall, he never reached the majors which would entitle him to wear the stripers. Maybe that was part of the exit contract.

I would really think you will be fine and they will try to entice you back with a nice offer. Unless you really want it to watch early season games. Keep an eye out around Fathers Day. I got a good deal on the rest of the season for like $50 from June on. They are going to be looking to lure people back, bet.

Bauer's first session with live batters, the young Will Smith took him out of the yard.

Just messing with spin rates I’m sure. You’re in for a long season with Trev, buckle up.

He did his entire last outing with one eye closed. Love all he wants to do is win and improve. Thats why he is there. Big part of that is having one of the best pitchers to ever do it to learn from. Sure Kersh will settle him when needed.

that post was more of our early 20s catcher is a bad ass,.

There is no settling Trevor Bauer down. This was his last pitch as an Indian:

    I hear you but

    Apples & Oranges,
    he was a lot younger
    plus
"I miss some of my teammates and stuff, but overall, I don’t really miss a whole lot about Cleveland.”

    & lastly
Kluber doesnt have quite the Gravitas as a Kershaw, especially when he saw Bauer as a threat. Kersh knows his first ballot HOF career is winding down and he is happy to spit as much knowledge as the Data obsessed Bauer wants to absorb. No need to play at alpha when you have accomplished everything and are fine being the 3rd , maybe 4th best pitcher in the rotation. Kersh just wants another ring.

That being said, my favorite Bauer quote is “I’m good at two things in this world: throwing baseballs, and pissing people off.” & I am sure he will grind my gears & I dont care as long as we win
