    dumb question but are the mammut cannisters also compatible with ortovox bags?

    i have an empty orto cannister but i don't think it is user serviceable

    They are not certified compatible, but I believe they all use the same valve(thread and general design) but likely use different bust discs, possibly different distance from the top of the valve to the disc, etc. Since it now appears impossible(or at least VERY expensive, 60GBP just for shipping) to get a cartridge shipped from Europe(and I won't be traveling there this year) I am interested in looking into making a carbon canister from a different manufacturer work with Mammut. I'd be interested in taking a look at your empty ortovox canister if you would be willing to part with it cheaply.
