    WTB: TLT 6 Performance 26/26.5

Trying to have my next pair on hand. Not looking for a beat pair- want something as close to new as possible. Either Black or Green vintage. Will also consider TLT5P.

Any leads are appreciated even if not from a mags personal stash.

Lots of things I’d be willing to trade:
    Skis
    Touring or alpine bindings
    Other accessories
    Backpack

    Also cold hard American currency

Not sure if they’re still around, but I saw a cherry pair of 26.5 on FB Marketplace in Missoula, MT. Green version. Worth a look.

Hm. Took a look and saw a nice looking pair of Vulcans for $150. Saw some 6Ps in meh shape for $300, which is what I would pay for a nearly new pair. Maybe the cherry pair sold already.

    The quest continues!

Shoot, I thought the $300 pair was nice, but just glanced at them. Feel your pain, always on the hunt for fresh 28s cause that boot is a tough act to follow for my uses and feet.

They didn’t look terrible- just not $300 sight unseen good. But yeah I have tried a ton of other boots now and fit/flex/function on those 6s remain the best. Glad I have a backup pair of mtns and some near new 5Ps, but I think it’s time to scrape the barrel on finding one more good pair before its all too late. If it isn’t already.

I have a pair of tlt5p in 26.0 I had been saving them for volcanoes tours, but that has not come to pass. There was a very slight amount of play in the pivot and I sent them in to dynafit for pressing. Liners are tlt5 with about 5 days on them.

Tricky part of the deal is I plan to ski them this winter and I would need to replace them with another light boot in similar shape. So either you have something or likely I would be looking for more cash than you want to spend. Reason I want to move on would be for a bit more stiffness in the lower shell and maybe some more warmth.

Hey Cat- at this point I am holding my cash for a pristine set of 6Ps. I have a pair of 5Ps in 9/10 condition. Love them, but once I got used to skiing the 6s with the met-flex locked out it’s been a little weird going back. So I’d say ski those bad boys to death- they’re great boots. And put some heat reflective foil tape inside the lower shell if you haven’t already.

Right on and thanks for advise on heat reflective tape. Any chance you tried locking out the forefoot flex. Looked at the old wildsnow piece using rivets, but concerned they could quickly wear holes

Na. Back in 14 I had a pair that I used for 60-80days and sold. Spent some time in Spectres, and then back to Dynafit in 6Ps. Both 5s and 6s fit me excellent so I decided to try and pad my stock of those boots as they got phased out the following season. Since then I’ve been able to get inexpensive and near new 5p and 6mtn to spread some days off my primary 6p. Only going back to the 5s now do I have an increased awareness of the met flex. Maybe in the future I’ll try and lock it out but at least rn I don’t feel the need.

    Thanks. Pass on 8s.

Really narrow search focus here- primo 6Ps or bust.

I will be be painfully clear here- I have zero point zero interest in 7s, 8s, or really anything that isn’t new 6Ps. Scored a decent set of used 6Ps from a mag so unless some virtually unused come along I will be passing.

    Thx

    Lol!
Double bump for you fans! I ended up with way more pairs than I need.

    Am offloading
    26 6Ps
    26 6mtns
    26 5Ps

Once those are gone I’ll be down to a healthy 3 pairs
