My daughter did a school report on her when she was about 9yro, but got frustrated because she couldn't find Debbie Armstrong on the web, just somebody else named Deb. "That's not Debbie. That is Deb, and that is a man!"

She was super nice and chatted with my girl on the phone and told her "If you can ski Alpental, you can ski anywhere in the world."
Move upside and let the man go through...

I agree. It doesn't even have to be a long board day, but that helps.
    Hope you're well buddy.

I have a pair of 192 EHPs I haven't skied in years but plan on keeping around in case I win the lottery and go to Alaska.

Naxo touring bindings had major issues, but the pivot mechanism really did create a super nice stride.
Saw a pair of 186s on FB marketplace today that looked pretty good. Always wanted this ski, have 184 Katanas which is supposedly a pretty close shape, though probably stiffer

    Found them:

Extinct for sure but a good read, Molnar ski's and the first mercury (ouch!) core ski's done as a prank to Robert Redford. Probably need to translate it, it's Hungarian. Redford could ski back in those days, made a cover. Palled around with Paul Newman evidently.

are we stilll dragging up shitty old equipment that wasnt any faster and was just harder to ski ?

instead of talking about those products that actualy stand the test of time and still rock

as the OP originaly asked ?

I got 223 fisher RC4's hich I traded for a Breville Roma espresso maker, i have run them a couple times in the annual Shusshboomer DH race AND they suck really, not that fast, harder to get turned

my fastest time eva was on Atomic Redster double decks a 183 womens FIS GS skis came drilled for soly bindings thro in a 70$ chunk of Tribloc for the win, they changed the rools so the skis were good for groomer cruising but worthless for racing GS only 199$

Yah, thread drift. Maybe in a post on old, weird, evolutionary, otherwise notable ski's.

Has anyone mentioned the Smith Fuse? They were around forever, and I still have several pairs that I still wear.
Alongside my Smith poles and Salomon 916s.

    Black means business.

I don’t know if I’d want to run a 195 as my DD any more, but I’d go for a 190 in a heartbeat, with everything else (build, flex, dims) the same. Slightly-less-than-superbro? That is such a great ski.

Didn’t somebody make a 185? Blossom? Bomber? Paging ExoticSkis to the white courtesy phone...

Thinking those were a 195 only offering from my ExoticSkis testing / Blossom importing.......... I think they were an original Aldo AK product.

SuperBro = AK Super Salmon (don't remember if these were actually sold) = Hart Fuelie Boss

AK made a king salmon in shorter lengths like 180ish, I believe.

Man, listening to you guys about those Super Bros makes me want to ride them all that much more now.
Funny it says for right coasters.
I'm envisioning opening them up here at home, our groomers can be limitless for speed.

The Lpr's have been killing it lately. Decidedly not extinct here.
The big mountain rocket ride is on up here and gonna be racy this week with high pressure.

Cool your jets, the hype surrounding Bro Model skis was also 98% of the substance.

The Super Bro was totally different from the original Bro Model or either of the Lhasa Pows I had. (Note: mine is actually a Hart Fuelie Boss, not the Super Bro top sheet, but I believe the only difference is the top sheet.)

I still have the Fuelie Boss. It's quite well made, no finish issues that tended to hold back the other PM Gear skis I had. The Lhasa wasn't bad, but I liked the DPS Lotus 120 more

Can't speak to the rest of the Pm Gear line as I have very limited time on them, but if you'd like to give my Super Bro's a spin, I'd be happy to see what you think.

    Positive hype, negative hype. Words.

I'm down to ride them, not finger them.

DH - you're down in the SLC zone right? Could I get these on a short term loan or trade for a few weeks?
