    Suggested Trim to Fit insoles

All - I'm looking for recommendations for trim to fit insoles; 1 pair for low volume alpine boot and 1pair for a low volume crossover AT boot.

I've used custom corks in the past but that's not an option. Superfeet green are being used now but are toast. The reviews online are sub-par.

    Any input appreciated!

I've been using Green Superfeet for a couple decades now, with no issues. Online reviews are always going to be 90% people bitching...cuz that's what people do online.

I have some of the Red Superfeet now, but can't say I notice any difference in perceived "warmth", although the fit is the same.

Nice thing about Superfeet - if they don't work for ya, you aren't out a pile of cash.

I liked the SOLE ones better than others I have tried, they make a "performance thin" one.

I'll second Sole "custom" (trim and bake to fit) footbeds all the way. Reasonably priced, great fit, thin and thick options. Been using them for years. https://yoursole.com/us

I’ve tried both Sole and Superfeet over the years. Sole just does not work with my feet. I run Superfeet in most of my boots/shoes. YMMV. If you find something that works for your feet, stick with it.

Go to a few stores and stand on some. Every company's shape is a bit different, plus there are height options. Don't use anyone's foot but your own.

Damn...good response and suggestions, folks. I'll give SOLE a shot in the alpine and stick with green super feet in AT.

If you can find the Chris Davenport purple footbeds, they're pretty good. Lower volume with a bit of insulation. I suspect they are discontinued but some sizes are (or were) still available and not very expensive. Sizes 8,9,10,11 at Orthotics shop (online) for 20.00 ea.

I use the red Soles and the C.D. version. Like the Davenports better. Deeper heel cup, the right arch profile (for me anyway), and a little insulation are their virtues. I'd get more if I found my size but alas...

I’ve been running these for a while now in ski boots as well as hunting and work boots. Great insole if they work for your feet.

As noted above, Superfeet and Sole make a good product. Green Superfeet is pretty perfect for my feet; Sole, not so much.
