About 10 in my driveway so far and it's hammering. Low density too, for now.

I'm near Dollar and am tempted to avoid the chaos this morning.

I'm sure glad you guys are getting good skiing while I'm out of town. It's been OK at Pow Mow.

Last day for the challenger lift.
Warm springs parking lot has some deep puddles that you can swim in.

Bruce willis owns the adjacent lake and looks like you can get to it on a jeep trail of somesort. Anyone ever head up there?

Yeah the sage brush, aspen and fir stands a bit lower were a favored for archery elk hunting back in the day. Boulder City draws a steady stream of ORVs to the area.

That's the general area where Clint Eastwood filmed Pale Rider in the late 70's. It's a great movie just for the early fall scenery - a snow dusting and fall aspens.

    Yep, per BCRD it's closed.

AREA COMMENTS - This season, the Sun Valley Resort has closed some trails on Baldy for public and crew safety related to mountain construction and forest health projects. Both the Cold Springs and the Warm Springs side of the Bald Mountain Perimeter Trail #328 are closed to all uses. The Bald Mountain Trail is closed to all bike use (it is usually open to uphill mountain bike traffic), and the Traverse Trail (cat-road) is open to foot traffic on its east end (River Run side) up to the Bald Mountain Trail.
