Sell it to a local dealer and they should be able to slap some temporary plates on it to drive it to their location, or even a flatbed or trailer to pick it up just like Carvana/Carmax would. Worst case you get the quote and price out a tow bill to them if they beat the online price by enough to make it worth while.

I ship liquor all the time via USPS, FedEx, or UPS. Fedex is probably the best.

In most states its not hard to do temp tags and ins. I'm guessing private party sale price will be more than enough to make up for it vs a dealer buying it if its a decent care. Now whether your time is worth it or not is another question.

That sounds awesome! We chucked eggs out a 4th floor window and while the little mayonnaise containers were usually packaged in something kinda creative, the whole affair left something to be desired in the way of adding energy to the payload.

Irritated as I am with some current clients I'm trying very hard to keep my trebuchet experiences vicarious for fear of triggering instant retirement. I'm not as sure that all who play with trebuchets retire, but it seems like kind of a ragged edge.

Seems like driving with expired tags is small potatoes compared with driving without insurance.

I don't think you understand how much I like butter though.

Like, sure, I could snack like a normal person, OR I could just eat a tablespoon or two of butter and honey.

we do have a "nutrition science" thread, but yeah, just asking Dan here will probably get the same result.

I could never walk a mile in Dantheman's shoes. But alas, he's chosen to forsake thee. And so, in a selfless act of narcissism, I shall offer up my vague stance on the buttery foods.

You're healthy, and you're not striving toward a specific training goal. Whatever you're doing now is probably not that big a deal in the grand scheme of things. At your age, you're likely fast approaching the point where metabolism will slow and weight will insidiously creep on while muscle tone wanes. It'll be less a discovery of rapidly declining health and more a realization that you need to work harder to maintain what once came easily and you'll need to moderate things that were once free.
You're also at the point where you should find an internist. Talk about family history and look at your current labs. Their answer to your question will undoubtedly be to stop eating so much butter. Just as they would if you were binge drinking, watching hours of porn every day, or (God Forbid!) drinking gallons of coffee! But if you press, they'll likely also concede that you're one of their healthiest patients and that your risk factors are impressively low. Once that awkward bridge is crossed, you can have a more open discussion about goals and compromises and what really matters in your life.
So yea, the butter probably might not be that big a deal, but you might also be on the verge of a cardiac arrest.

heh yeah. i mean. i'm pretty healthy. all my labs are good. i donated a kidney a year ago, so they keep a pretty close eye on that shit. i just really, really, like butter.

i wish i was kidding about this. but it's the one thing that keeps me up at night; i have a decent handle on sweets and alcohol and meat consumption (all in moderation), it's butter that's my Achilles' heel. bored at lunch? honey butter time! sourdough bread? tasty, but tastier with like, 4 tbs of butter. waffles? every goddamn one of those little squares is gonna be like a swimming pool filled with cholesterol.

the internist is not a bad idea, but every conversation i've ever had with healthcare providers is...unproductive. "you should eat a diet rich in whole grains!" | "yeah, i have buckwheat and spelt multiple times a week" | "what are those?" or i feel like i just get really pithy aphorisms thrown at me, "make sure you get regular exercise!" yep, ok, got it, i'll uh, try and work on that. glad you said something. it might be that i put very little effort into finding a PCP that i vibe with, so maybe if i tried to do that i'd have a more productive conversation.

The practical options for PCP/Internists these days:
    1. Troll their websites for the one who's bio suggests they're into outdoor shit. 90% more likely to relate to you.
    2. Troll their websites for the hottest new doc. 90% more likely leave you feeling like you're at least getting something out of the visit.... and are willing to go back........ and let her cup your ballz and finger yerpoopenhousen. Because that's imminent.

The closest I've ever been to punching a healthcare provider was when I was at the doc's due to a concussion from pitching over the bars on my mountain bike. The fat nurse taking my blood pressure asked how I managed to hurt myself and when she found out it was biking said "You shouldn't do that, it's way too dangerous."

I think you're good with the Kerrygold, dairy from grass-fed animals is a very different than that from grain-fed animals. Dan would do a much better job with this but CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) seems to be the key difference.

Here's one piece I found that talks about it: https://www.naturalgrocers.com/artic...dairy-good-you

Basically it's a heathy superfood, go for it. But it's got lots of calories so watch that.

edit: couldn't spell "linoleic" to save my life

Yup. You have a healthy lifestyle. You eat well. Your BMI is excellent. Your labs are good. If you end up with clogged arteries, it'll be as much to do with a genetic predisposition as it will your diet.
But seriously, in 5 years you're gonna start a thread called "Paging Dantheman: How come I've gained 15 lbs when I'm eating the same shit? And why is it so hard to get back to my old weight?"

iceman thanks for the beta re: CLAs, that's super good to know. all of my dairy is grass fed, whole fat. most of that is kerrygold. the rest of my life is pretty healthy, especially now that my wife controls my access to nutella jars.

and jm2e, yeah, I've definitely seen that trend in recent years, but I feel like I have a decent handle on it. i do tons of fasted workouts, IF, and I generally have decent macros. my philosophy is basically eat good, homemade food, don't binge, eat a variety of calorie sources, mostly plant based.

and kerrygold, but honestly, who can resist her sweet siren call?

My wife has been buying this ridiculous artisan single-farm grass-fed cultured with sea salt butter from Connecticut, it comes in a tub that's on the counter all day and I have to walk by it like 50 times a day. It's tough being strong.
