You'd think so with that large build but no, he was a Thoroughbred out of the great racehorse Damascus (#16 of the top 100 racehorses of the 20th century). He was a once in a lifetime horse. Won a lot of blue ribbons with him.
IMO there is no horse more beautiful and elegant than a Thoroughbred (my Appy is cute and I love him but he's no Thoroughbred).

Random post:
My Grand dad and Dad were Farriers, standardbred race horses (Trotters and Pacers) and I grew up around a race track scene on Long Island (RIP Roosevelt Raceway). It was like working at a Carnival with freaks, geeks and all manner of sketchy people.
He got the idea that shoeing show horses would be more lucrative and we would hang with a better crowd. Turns out they were just as bad although some of the daughters were pretty freaky in a good way.I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Cool!
Horse shoeing show horses can be lucrative but it's back breaking work. We used to joke our horses wore Ferragamos. Back in the 90s we paid as much as $400 a set (every 5 weeks). Can't imagine what it costs now (my horses are all barefoot so I only pay for trimming which is nothing).
Here in W2 we used to have the only farrier school in the nation at our CC. People came from as far as South Africa to take the course. They closed it down last year due to budget cuts (really it was budget mismanagement on the part of the board).
My grandfather raised and trained Thoroughbred horses. He was a true Irishman. Loved those beasts. It's a brutal sport for the horses and owners/trainers rarely come out ahead but man is it something to watch.“When you see something that is not right, not just, not fair, you have a moral obligation to say something. Freezer burn. Garage beer fridge freezer is icing things up at an amazing pace. Any tricks that help hinder the ice production on the foodz?

What's the best way to attach mylar film to a house with 40 year old, well maintained (painted) vertically lapped cedar siding?

Try staple?

No, this is not upstate.
Using staples had crossed my mind, but given the flimsiness of the mylar, I'm worried about tearing.
So staples combined with cardboard or a thin plastic might work.
For the ongiong seasonal application, I was thinking of hammering in some nails from which I could hang clamps that could hold the mylar. That makes it easier to remove at summers end. Even upstate.Merde De Glace On the Freak When Ski

Nails and staples are removable; I have reservations about the adhesive on the siding.
