OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — Actor Angus Cloud died in July of an accidental overdose of cocaine, fentanyl and other substances, a Northern California coroner’s office said Thursday.

Cloud’s cause of death was “acute intoxication” due to the “combined effects of methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl and benzodiazepines,” the Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau said. The office confirmed the overdose was an accident.
My question is this: with a drug cocktail like that, can you really still call it an accident? Good lord.

I liked that series Euphoria, and I was intrigued by his character. The actor always seemed really stoned, for reals, not just as the character he played. Sorry to see him go.

    RIP

Yes. Granted, it's a high risk adventure. However, without evidence one can only assume he did not explicitly intend to check out. Therefore, it's accidental.

Why does this seem like a plot point out of a science fiction B movie? https://www.cnn.com/2023/09/24/world...scn/index.html

I think I saw that movie when I was a kid. Things didn't turn out well.

This is gonna sound like a joke, but I'm serious. Why don't we sneeze when we sleep?

I have horrible allergies and I also have a routine where I have to sneeze 3-5 times everyday after I wake up. The running joke is that I'm allergic to being awake.

I think that it’s because when you sleep all of your reflexes are basically turned off, and I assume sneezing runs off that same system.

How does a business figure out how many handicapped parking spots and where to put them?

I would assume it is in municipal codes or state statutes.

isn’t the way some figured out was they got sued for not meeting code or knew a business that did get sued or heard about a business that did get sued?

It's part of the ADA. They have a guide to the number of spaces, the location, and the size of the spaces.

    Yes
    Local zoning & building codes
    Zoning usually stipulates parking quantities
    Building code may stipulate arrangements/locations
ADA is not part of the building codes typically, but it may be referenced as local law

I have been thinking it would be fun to wait until the first heavy snow leaves a layer of slush on the lake then go rip it up on the way to the boat launch. Some years it goes from slush to ice pretty quick, I may end up with frozen boat tracks all winter. Last year after a rain/snow on existing ice I laid down fat bike tracks that froze up for about 2 months.

I try to do a first week of November, but it does not work out so well every year. I'm 2 for 5 recently.

I think you wait until it feels like work. Bonus points if you can time it for when conditions make it borderline dangerous but you don’t have any fallback options to call a weather delay.
    focus.
