Why does the Roku remote die so often? Is there some setting I’m not aware of or maybe it’s defective?

Could be a sticky button, but to be safe you should probably just yeet the whole Roku into the sun to be safe.

[I may be projecting here cause we have a Roku TV that is driving me crazy lately]

Sure. You can say whatever you want. Whether Gen Z makes fun of you for it is another question.

I keep a fresh pack of batteries by the remotes just for the constantly dying roku, The minimalist in me hates it, I generally avoid any unnecessary clutter.

I tried Roku. I think it sucks. So after our dog ate the remote, I never bothered to replace it.

Bahaha. I'm with ya. That been said, they are a cheap way to get acess to all of the streaming services we have signed up for over the years. All I need now is a power outlet that puts the TV and Roku within range of the WiFi router.

Is there any way to fix this little hole in my glove? It's right at the seam where the thumb meets the palm so it gets a lot of flex. But these are this season's gloves and I have them very nicely waterproofed and comfy so I wanna fix them if possible.

So around 20-25 years ago, weren't there people warning that climate change (warming) could lead to more extreme weather events?

Scary stuff. Just saw the reports from Little Rock of at least 600 injuries. (Edited my once snarky post)

I don’t use it a lot but when I go to turn it on the thing is always dead. But it sounds like I’m not alone.

Weird, the interface is bad to terrible but my Roku seems bullet proof and easy on the Costo batteries.

We got our Roku TV a few years ago and I think the remote is still on the OG batteries. We mostly use our phones to control it, though. I prefer Roku to the other smart TV interfaces I’ve used. It’s not flashy but it works and it updates regularly.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

Same. I'm basically the only one who uses the remote. Only use it a few hours a night to watch a movie on TCM or a baseball game. Somehow that's just too much for the remote.

Sewing things with dental floss was something my parents taught me. It's from a previous generation.
