But, but, I haven't posted #dreamshack stuff in over a week.
It's mostly sheathed now (thanks in a large part to Norseman), but I've wrecked my arm after too much nailgunning one day.

It's amazing how much more solid the building is after sheathing (1/2" plywood, not osb).

    It's turning out way cool.

So, it's on hold until my arm gets back to normal and it dries out.

Anyway, I'm hoping the maggot love comes out for sending a few deserving ski fiends to Yurp to ski.
I've been incredibly lucky, so I've chipped in and so have a few others.

    How about some more?

I'll post some pics of it if people chip in on the Stoke Dream

Where would you go (brick and mortar) to buy posters for a kid (tween) for her room?

Are Spencer's and Hot Topic still a thing?

I dunno, we have a tween girl but don't shop for her at brick n mortars very often.

Wife says Pottery Barn Teen for online, I'm sure there are thousands more options.

What is she into? What type of posters does she want? Framed, or rolled up and thumbtacked the way we used to do it?

Online all the way my friend. Including all the other reasons why you don't want to bring your tween to the mall... blame covid!

She'll get better selection and have them in 2-3 days.

Worth taking her to Flatirons mall, it's not crowded and while it's torture for parents, 5th graders seem to like it. We also ordered some online.

Yes. The swype-style keyboards are also getting worse and predicting stranger words. I partly blame automatically expanding dictionaries, but it doesn't stop there.

^^ love the swipe keyboard on my galaxy whatever.. using it for this and no issues. Crazy how intuitive it is as someone who knows how to type. Different motion, but same memory

yeah, thought about heading there. Any particular stores in mind? Because the thought of wandering the mall with her is terrifying.

Take one for the team. Many of us have had to take a tween daughter to a mall. The want to buy all the cringe stuff. You'll survive. You might need counseling, but you'll survive.

Your poor daughter. It would mean the world to her to get some daddy time doing something for her. Let me know if I can heap on any more guilt.

My (few) mall experiences with boys consist of sports equipment purchases for upcoming seasons typically followed by lunch and some arcade time. I'm good with that.

I let the wife take the daughter, they have tea at the Amrican Girl store and then do God knows what for the next 2-3 hrs. Usually with a gaggle of friends.

I think our system works pretty well.

Funny part is my youngest kid, a boy, wants to go the mall more that my daughter ever did.
