Yo Timberridge (and other successful Land Rover Enthusiasts)

Need some backup gift ideas for brother in law,who has a birthday right after Christmas, and just took delivery of a new Defender.

In what I am positive will be a long and fruitful relationship I thought I could pick y'alls' brains on what has been an appreciated accessory of yours. Aux air pump, champagne cooler, etc... I'm all ears. My budget stops below the bespoke over-under and matching engraved scotch kit in the trunk.

    TIA
I still call it The Jake.

I would guess LR has a catalog full of official tchotchkes they would love to sell you.

    These are all good suggestions.

I'm partial to AMG shift knobs in just about any make of vehicle--there's a certain je ne sais quois feel to them.

How fully is he embracing the Defender lifestyle?

Someone already got him that Lego when he ordered it. Otherwise that was gonna be it. turned out to be a great covid-project.

I'd say he's embracing it somewhere greater than intentionally driving through every snow pile and mud puddle but less than full-blown overlander.

    Well now, that's actually tasteful.

How far is the Biltmore from where y'all live?

    https://experience.landroverusa.com/.../full-day.html

If he's just getting into offroading and wants to try with one of their vehicles this could be fun. Years ago (2008) when I bought mine, they offered a discount on this to all new owners and I did the one in VT and took my wife along. It was a fun day watching her freak out. I see the price has gone up a fair bit but if you consider 3 people participating...and how often do you get to ramble around in the woods of the Biltmore Estate?

3 hours from me, probably 8.5 from him. That does look like a really cool thing to do.

Get him this sticker for old time sake!
Scientists now have decisive molecular evidence that humans and chimpanzees once had a common momma and that this lineage had previously split from monkeys.
