Uhh wut?! @~1:38, the Pfizer CEO douche says that the 2 doses of the vaccine offers "very limited protection, if any." Dude's obviously trying to make shareholders happy with that line as he announces their version 1.1 coming out soon.

He's obviously full of shit, because it seems pretty unanimous here and among most experts that yes, the 2 doses DO appear to help against omicron, right? Dude trying to further sow doubt about the effectiveness of the vaccines? Sounds a bit like vaccine "misinformation" according to the standard typically applied by our big tech overlords (and most here).

    2-dose Pfizer vaccine vs. Omicron

Few real-world studies so far have managed to estimate effectiveness for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, and a number of lab studies show that a booster increases antibody production significantly.

“The studies are largely laboratory studies that would indicate that levels of antibody induced by boosting will have a noteworthy impact on preventing serious disease,” said Schaffner.

A preprint study conducted by Oxford University reported that two doses of the AstraZeneca or Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines offered little protection against infection with the Omicron variant.

However, a real-life study from South Africa found that two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine still protected people from severe disease.

Researchers found that two doses provided 70 percent protection against hospitalization and 33 percent protection against infection. This was a drop from about 93 percent and 80 percent, respectively, for the Delta variant.

A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine echoed these figures, finding that a two-dose regimen of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine was 70 percent effective against hospitalization with Omicron.

Dr. Monica Gandhi, an infectious diseases specialist with the University of California, San Francisco, told Healthline that although these lab studies show that antibodies, the body’s main line of defense against the coronavirus, can wane over time or be affected by mutations along the virus’s spike protein, vaccines were able to generate other types of immune cells to fight off infection.

“We know now that T cells from the vaccines still work against Omicron, and B cells generated by the vaccines adapt the new antibodies they produce to work against variants. So, I think the clinical scenarios we are seeing in those with prior immunity, vaccinated, and even boosted individuals [show that] the vaccines are likely still protecting Omicron-infected individuals from severe disease,” she said.

Initial studies suggest that two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine offer 30 to 40 percent protection against infection and around 70 percent protection against hospitalization.

So is the trick to eat shit that somebody else generated? I’m not sure I have any friends I’m quite on those terms with. But let us know how it goes.

This needs to be investigated by the TRG.

I personally volunteer to urinate in alrasnob’s mouth to test this hypothesis.

    Triple jabbed.

I’ve been exposed a lot. Girlfriend and two boys have had it the last week. I’ve tested negative last week and yesterday. Rode in the car for four hours on sunday with GF although she wore a mask.

Felt pretty fatigued through all of it, had a minor sore throat, but apparently no Covid.

It can definitely take 5 days to incubate long enough for a rapid test to detect. You still might get lucky.

Last night after my wife got home from work she got a call from a friend who had just tested positive. They spent the day together on Sunday so I’m certain my wife was exposed. She has no symptoms as of now.

I removed myself from our common area and spent the night in a guest room off the opposite side of the garage out of precaution. Not sure if it’s too little too late or just silly at this point. If need be, I can ride this out in the guest room for a few days. We are both triple vaxed so likely we won’t end up with a severe case, but I’d rather not catch it if I can avoid it. She is taking a rapid test this morning and going to get a PCR today.

What’s the proper plan of attack for us? At what point should I test and at what point would it be considered safe to be co-living?

GF tested negative 2x last week and then positive Monday. Drove around spotting bald eagles on Sunday, masked, but will take another test Friday.

When my wife was legit positive and very sick I just moved out of the master bedroom in to my kids room.. He was away at college. I did spend one night in the living room on the couch when he got back.. Christmas Break. We wore legit N95 or KN95 masks whenever wife came out to get a snack . I wore a full N95 whenever I went on the master bedroom to take care of her. I also used the master bath.. sprayed lysol everywhere and only took off the N95 to take a quick shower or brush my teeth. Kept toothbrush in a zip lok bag.

Tested negative twice during wife's isolation period. After that took off the masks and got it 4-5 days later.. I was isolating at home for the additional 10 days already when that happened so definitely got it from her. Ya, 10 day isolation wasn't enough for us.. So, LOL!

Short answer, A good N95 mask is fine to co habitate in the main house as long as you sleep elsewhere, i.e. not in the same bedroom..

Good question. I don't know if each wave is always associated with a new variant or not. But just because one variant becomes dominant doesn't mean the other variants instantly die out. Delta is still kicking around, and still accounts for a chunk of cases in the US, and an even greater chunk in other countries. I assume the reason WHO says over 50% of Europe will get COVID soon, but didn't make the same warning for the US, isn't because the US is doing a great job of controlling spread versus Europe, but because in Europe, Omicron accounts for nearly every single case where as the US still has Delta competing. And it appears immunity from both natural infection, and vaccination, wanes (which makes it easier for variants to stick around). Bottom line, even Fauci is spouting the "we're all going to get this" mantra.

Pornstar Jenna Jameson is not vaccinated. She made this declaration to dispel rumors on Facebook that her current medical condition is a side effect from being vaxxed.
