Never mind, i thought the cdc was per day also.

    Anyway, who knows, will see.

By the way, when California opened everything without masks, my feeling was that it was too early.

What made you think June 15th was too early? Did you not bother seeing what happened in 28 other states in Mid march and the correlation to their cases? It's so weird to see costal people act like the rest of the country doesn't exist lol.

I like how at the end of the article it states that fox has implemented the equivent of covid vaccine passports at the office. How do those people sleep at night? The cognitive dissonance would be unbearable.

We are also in an area of Utah that has the 2nd highest vac rate after park city (near the u). I suspect the next time Im out at a big store with a varied population, the mask is probably coming out.

That’s ridiculous. Vaccine hostile? My wife isn’t vaccinated due to certain health concerns. She doesn’t expect everyone else to change their lives due to her condition. (I’ve been vaccinated since feb)
Why does the overwhelming majority of a population have to change their lives for the minority? And this applies to more than just the COVID vaccine.

Only if you can't do math. The breakthrough deaths are still infinitesimally small compared to the 40k that will die in a car crash this year. But you want to wear a mask and avoid concerts the rest of your life, then you do you. Personal choice at this point.

Getting back to vaccines for a moment, an open question to the fully vaxxed collective: how comfortable are you in public places - especially indoors - mingling with the teeming masses?

Where I am, everywhere other than medical facilities and restaurants, covid protocols have pretty much ended. Social distancing is a thing of the past, and mask usage is maybe ten percent.

Are you confident that you're well enough protected by immunization to forego the mask while indoors with the unvaccinated?
I'm reasonably comfortable, been in a few restaurants lately but I've been enjoying the reduced spending, drinking in the park and spending time actually doing things with friends outside. Kinda like having extra space and I'll wear a mask in the business that still request it. Not very interested in flying yet, but also don't have many reasons to.

As far as I'm concerned I'll be comfortable the first time I'm back in a real pit at a show. So far I'm not terribly interested in that, but I also haven't seen to many shows I'm excited for yet. Bought tickets to a punk show in October though, so we'll see.

Not much has changed for me since about April.

There are 1.2 billion people partially or fully vaccinated out of 8 billion.

At the rate vaccinations are going, chances are pretty high that the virus will mutate to the point that the vaccines are not effective anymore.

So, yeah, everyone should take France's example and not allow people in restaurants, concerts, etc unless they are vaccinated or have s test with the last 24 hours.

AAP is now recommending everybody wear masks at schools regardless of vax status. This differs than the current cdc recommendation.

Personally I chose to believe me and my research as opposed to your internet avatar. More died from covid than cars in the near past. And you fools who want to incubate the next mutation are just that. Fools. So I'll take care of me. Last good live concert I saw was Hendrix. So there's that.

Funny story about personal choice. When an unmasked covidiot was running the checkout for my wife and me she asked him "Why no mask"? When he said "Personal choice" I started faking a coughing fit. My wife told him "Fever and can't taste. Probably just the flu." Kid said I should be home. I said "Personal choice of mine to shop here when I'm sick."

Fuck all the covidiots. I don't give 2 fucks if you live or die. Seriously.

How many that died were double vaxxed? I'm double vaxxed and might get another in the fall. I'm doing exactly what the CDC recommends. Why does Vaxxed Americans going mask less trigger you so much?

I would say less than 1% of people are masking where I live. 49% of our pop. are fully vaxxed and currently our infection rates are through the roof so I am wearing a mask. Yesterday everywhere I went with the exception of the doctor's office I was the only one wearing a mask.

Given that I got sick the very first time I went out to dine after the CDC said it was safe I doubt I will be going out any time soon.

You had a valid point--the risk of a vaccinated person dying of Covid may well be less than the risk of dying of a car accident (although Wooley drives a horse and buggy and mostly stays home). But nothing he wrote says "triggered". That's just you being butthurt because someone disagrees with you. Reread what he said. Or maybe just go away.

He called me a fool and a covididiot for literally following the CDC guidelines and they harassed a grocery store checkout person for not wearing a mask. I guess that's better than sexually harassing them though? I don't think the VAXXED need masks, but when I see somebody wearing one I'm not going accost them.
